Celebrating a Century

Two weeks ago, we had the pleasure of hosting a remarkable event at our trial site in Lincolnshire to celebrate a significant milestone: the 100th anniversary of Rijk Zwaan. This event brought together customers and colleagues, allowing us to honour our rich history while showcasing our commitment to innovation in the agricultural sector.

A Day of Celebration and Learning

The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with excitement as we welcomed our guests to explore the beauty of our extensive brassica crops, complemented by an impressive display of vintage tractors that highlighted our agricultural heritage. Attendees had the opportunity to wander through several informative zones, where they could learn about our latest innovations, including the new Rugose Defense label.

Our consumer platform, Love My Salad, also featured prominently throughout the day, emphasizing our dedication to promoting healthy eating and sustainable practices.

Culinary Delights with Baba Ganoush Catering

A standout highlight of the event was the live coo

king demonstrations led by a professional chef from Baba Ganoush Catering. Guests were treated to four delicious recipes that showcased our products, with one particularly memorable dish featuring the Tendita leaf. The chef introduced the innovative "eat the spoon" concept, encouraging attendees to enjoy a culinary experience that was not only delicious but also interactive.

A Toast to the Future

As we celebrated our past, we also looked ahead to the future. The event was a wonderful reminder of the relationships we have built over the past century and the importance of collaboration as we continue to innovate and grow.
