Baby Crunchy cos lettuce
Neurita RZ has a crisp but juicy texture and a sweet flavour. This neat little football-shaped lettuce reaches around 12cm, depending on the season and conditions. The small bright green leaves are uniformly coloured.
This is a vigorous variety. Its fast-filling nature in combination with good mildew resistance makes it well-suited to growing conditions in the UK. It has also proven to be slow-bolting, so has a good amount of flexibility in its growing window.
This is a lettuce with an impressively long shelf life. A solid midrib reduces pinking up the spine and means less damage and browning during transport. Uniformly shaped heads mean easier packing and more flexibility for market destination.
Neurita RZ is suitable for selling as a whole-head and as a whole, loose-leaf. Its neat shape and height at maturity also make it a good option for the twin-pack market.
This cos is suitable for both outdoor production and hydroponic production.
